This course can open up a range of amazing careers by offering two different pathways. Learn about the exciting world of Travel & Tourism, whilst also discovering the Hospitality Industry and putting valuable skills into practice. If you have ever fancied running your own festival or managing a hotel, this is the course for you!
Throughout the course you will study a variety of units including, The UK Travel & Tourism Industry, Travel & Tourism Destinations and Managing the Customer Experience. You will also have the opportunity to consider Planning Events in Hospitality.
In addition to working in the College Training Restaurant, Bistro at B63, you will be expected to undertake some work experience during the course. This is usually either a Wednesday or a Thursday evening.
The course is assessed through a combination of examinations, coursework, external assessments and practical evidence.
You will need to have achieved at least 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above, including English Language.
Retaking GCSE Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have Grade 4.
You can progress to a range of higher level courses and professional qualifications.
This course is ideal if you are interested in working as an Events Planner, Hotel Receptionist, Cabin Crew, Travel Agent or other roles in the Hospitality industry.
A uniform is required and details will be supplied at enrolment.
