A Level and Vocational Combined
Health & Social Care is designed to introduce you to the changes people undergo through their lives, and the ways in which society can meet and support these changing needs.
This Level 3 AAQ Cambridge Advanced National is taken over 2 years and is the equivalent of one A Level. It can be studied alongside other A Levels.
This course is assessed through a combination of examinations and supervised assessments.
You will need to have GCSEs with 2 grade 6s and 3 grade 5s including English Language and a Science. A Level 2 Science qualification at merit or distinction level may also be considered. Retaking GCSE Maths as part of your programme is required if you do not have grade 4.
You can progress to an exciting range of higher-level courses, including the Health and Social Care Foundation Degree. You could also consider studying a related degree at university.
This course is ideal if you are interested in a career in Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Health, Social Work or as a Paramedic.
This course should be combined with A Levels
Good combinations could include Sociology, Psychology and especially science subjects such as Biology.
An Apprenticeship may also be considered.
