Digital Data Analytics (T Level)

  • Data Technician

This course has been developed in collaboration with employers and combines classroom-based learning with work-based experiences to equip you with the technical skills and workplace knowledge required for a career in the digital sector.

You will complete both a Core Technical Qualification and a Digital Data Analytics Specialism, alongside an industry placement lasting at least 315 hours.

  • Analysing data to support business outcomes
  • Interpreting data and communicating results
  • Applying knowledge to create well-reasoned evaluations

How will I be assessed?

Year 1:

  • Route Core Element Exam A: A written exam covering the core content delivered in the first year of the qualification.
  • Route Core Element Exam B: A second written exam on core content from Year 1.

Year 2:

  • Occupational Specialism: A series of controlled assessments to demonstrate knowledge based on a given scenario.
  • Placement: A 315-hour industry placement, during which you will be assessed in a real-world employment setting.

There will also be ongoing assessments in preparation for the end-of-year exams, including project work and practical demonstrations. For example, you may be tasked with cleaning a dataset for a client and then presenting your findings to that client.

What do I need?

You will need 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, as you will be expected to create professional reports and conduct data analysis.

Where can it take me?

Most students who complete a T-Level go on to either employment or an apprenticeship with the employer who hosted their work placement. Alternatively, students may continue their studies at university, pursuing a degree in their chosen field before entering the workforce.
