Why study this course?
Many adults looking to progress, academically or professionally, are now required to have a Level 2 qualification in English, and Functional Skills qualifications are widely recognised by employers and institutions as a suitable alternative to the GCSE. In fact, employers were involved in the design of the reformed Functional Skills in order to address gaps in skills and knowledge needed for the workplace.
We are offering the opportunity for an intensive 3-day course to suit the demands of adult learners seeking to gain a Level 2 qualification in English: for their own personal development, for employment reasons or to progress into further/higher education.
Please note, you need to be available and able to come to our Whittingham Road site for all 3 days of your chosen course (dates below). Attendance to all three days is compulsory.
