Take your hobby, your passion and be your own boss in one of the most sought-after industries of becoming a nail technician. Our exciting level 2 courses will give you the opportunity to become a budding nail technician, which includes nail enhancements and gel polish application.

This unit award and will teach you how to apply, maintain and remove gel polish and builder gel (in industry known as: BIAB), professionally to industry expectations. You will also learn health & safety and hygiene practices within the treatment procedures.

There is practical observation / assessment on clients to complete the appropriate assessment criteria.

Theory will include anatomy and physiology of hand and arm, and Health and Safety.

There is one external exam paper for this course.

Candidates must have an interest in care of the hands and nails. If candidates have previously studied introduction courses, these do not give credits towards this course.

A place on this course will only be confirmed and finalised, once you have had a telephone or face-to-face interview with a subject specialist or the course leader.

Beauty uniform or smart black clothing with closed toe shoes are only accepted in our professional salons

There is a kit required for this course which will be an additional cost to you – further information will be given upon advice and guidance from the course leader
