Halesowen College student Bethany Webb has received a £3,000 scholarship from Bangor University to help her continue her studies. 

Bethany, from Halesowen, completed an exam to get the place on the Film Studies with Theatre and Performance BA (Hons) course at the popular university. 

The 17-year-old is studying A Level Drama, English Literature and Language and History at Halesowen College.  She plans to start a career in the performance or film industry as an actress. 

Bethany said: “I have loved my time at Halesowen, especially my drama course. The support here has made all this possible.” 

Ross Nicholls, A level Drama Lecturer, said: “Bethany has been a credit to the College and worked so hard over the last two years. We wish her well at university and in her future career.” 

She is a former pupil of Pedmore High School.
