Halesowen College Gears Up for Careers Discovery Day

Halesowen College is set to host its Careers Discovery Day on Wednesday 19th February at its Whittingham Road campus.
This exciting event is designed to inspire current year-11 students by providing invaluable insights into career opportunities, apprenticeships and essential employability skills.
The day will offer a range of engaging activities and informative workshops aimed at helping students navigate their future career paths. Participants will have the chance to develop key skills sought after by employers, giving them a competitive edge in today’s job market.
Students can take part in interactive sessions including CV-building workshops and mini-interviews. There will also be opportunities to enhance soft-skills through a series of hands-on exercises designed to boost confidence and career readiness.
Rachel Cooper, Head of Student Support for Apprenticeships at Halesowen College, emphasized the event’s value:
“Our Careers Discovery Day is an excellent opportunity for Year 11 students who are still considering their next steps. The event will provide insight into different career paths and curriculum options available at Halesowen College, helping students make informed decisions about their futures.”
