College Brings the Joy of Christmas to Charity
NEWS
Following a successful Christmas donation campaign, Halesowen College staff have today proudly presented a massive collection of toys, gifts, and much more to the Salvation Army.
Students from the college’s Early Years curriculum area, decided to support the Salvation Army as their chosen charity for this year’s Christmas Appeal. The contributions from staff, students and the wider community have been remarkable with such a generous amount of donations.
CEDRIC, the college’s digital community bus, played a crucial role in collecting donations, making its way to Pensnett Trading Estate, Coombs Wood and Somers Square in Halesowen just last week.
Jacquie Carman, Principal and Chief Executive of Halesowen College, said, “Our Christmas campaign has been a great success and demonstrates just how the college and community have come together to support such a worthy cause. Hopefully the donations will benefit lots of families and make Christmas a happier time for them.”
Jacob Smith, Community Development Leader at the Cradley Heath branch of the Salvation Army commented, “On behalf of the Salvation Army I am extremely grateful for the generosity of people in our community helping us to give those in our local community something this Christmas.”
