Colleges West Midlands represent the colleges that make up the West Midlands region. They have collaborated with one another to deliver a joint prospectus “Reignite Your Future” which seeks to help prospective adult learners to refresh and develop their skills.

For the first time, there is a Regional Skills Recovery Programme that will provide adults with access to free training across the West Midlands. This programme will enable adults to refresh or redevelop their careers to reignite their futures.

How does Halesowen College source candidates?

We select talent from a range of established partners and our own talent pool, allowing us to individuals at any level, looking for a career change. We also recruit from a number of marketing initiatives that includes open events, social media engagement and digital advertising.

What’s different from a recruitment agency?

All candidates will be screened by Halesowen College during a pre-employment training scheme that is tailored to your organisation’s needs.
For example, the College would put candidates onto a ‘Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care’ course for a care organisation looking to hire support workers.

If staff retention is a cause for concern, employers can work with us to look at what are the key issues and we can look at a solution.

Programmes can be delivered on-site with an employer or in a preferred location.

Can employers get involved with the course, and what does it cost?

The service is completely free. All that we ask is for a guaranteed interview for those who complete training and interview feedback for unsuccessful candidates.
