Work programme for students

Four Halesowen College students are four of only ten young people to be accepted on a special programme for a paid employability programme.
The College nominated Amaka Obidum, Mohammed Hussain, Ahmed Hussain and Kevin Hassani for the EY (Ernst and Young Global Limited) Foundation Beyond Limits programme which only has ten places.
The four students will get paid employability training, work experience, financial advice, a business mentor, employment coach and a personal development grant.
The programme is for care experienced young people and starts at the end of July and runs for one year.
Karylle Phillips, Post 16 Care Experience Co-ordinator at Halesowen College, said: “We are delighted that all four have been accepted onto this programme which has limited places.
“They will really benefit from all the help and advice it will give them and help set them up for their future careers.”
Amaka, is 18 and from Kidderminster and is studying A level Politics, Religious Studies and Sociology.
Mohammed is also 18, from Rowley Regis and is studying ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
Kevin, aged 18, from Dudley, has just completed a his BTEC Level Three in Creative Media Production.
Ahmed, is aged 17, from Halesowen and is studying ESOL.
